Worshiping Jesus. Becoming Like Him.

A little about Liberty…

What We Believe

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

  • God has revealed himself as existing in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit–separate in personality but still one.

  • The Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of humanity, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and was both totally God and totally human (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6).

  • Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to his disciples (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 4:25, 14:9).

  • Jesus was raised to heaven, where he is now, and he will come a second time at the end of this age (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

  • The salvation of sinners is by grace, through repentance and faith in what Jesus did on the cross. It is by this alone that God removes the guilt and penalty of sin (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11).

  • Water baptism is done by immersion in water as an act of obedience and public confession of the Lordship of Christ (Acts 2:34-38; 1 Peter 3:18-21).

  • The Holy Spirit evidences Himself in a believer through the gifts and fruit of the Spirit (Acts 2:4, 8:14-17; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

  • The table of the Lord, also called Communion and the Lord’s Supper, is a practice exclusively for believers and is an important expression of our covenant with God and with each other (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).

  • Eternal life is for the believer and eternal death for the unbeliever (John 5:24, 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).

Mission Statement

To train a community of people who seek the kingdom of God first and his righteousness, disregarding personal cost or sacrifice. We as God’s people are committed to living every day the way the Word of God tells us, demonstrating the life of Christ through actions such as studying the Bible, prayer, worship, care for each other and influencing the world for Christ.

Church Association

Liberty Christian Church is a non-denominational church associated with a group of churches under the umbrella of Global Horizons/ Lifelink.

Philosophy

Our philosophy of ministry causes us to willingly embrace the cross, die to self and become alive to Christ in regard to our personal rights and expectations. This philosophy requires us to serve each other, be committed to each other’s godly success and, most of all, to lay down our lives for the cause of Christ.

To do this we must be able to count on each other to:

  1. Live according to the Bible.

  2. Be committed to living out our covenant to this church family by tithing and by generous giving to the community, the poor, and to one another as unto Christ.

  3. Pray and support each other.

Goals

To effectively proclaim the good news of the Gospel so that those who do not know God might be brought into a living relationship with Jesus as their Lord and joined as part of the church.

To train God’s people to be mature in their ministry and service, contributing more than they consume, a godly influence on the world around them.

To raise up leaders who can effectively train others in living a godly life and who will be available to start new communities as the Holy Spirit directs.

To train up our succeeding generations of children to know what God has planned for them and the church and to equip them in every way possible to do the will of God.
